American Rock Salt Mine Facility

MRB Group developed site design components and provided construction administration for surface facilities at the new salt mine facility.

Our design work included:

• ± 6,000 LF of 8” and 12” watermain
• ± 5,100 of 8”, 10”, and 12” gravity sewer
• Site grading over an 80 acre site
• Stormwater collection system and management pond

We also designed a brine water collection system, a brine pond/pumping system, and NYS Route 63 land widening for improved access to the site.

MRB Group worked on the Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS) and subsequent regulatory approvals for the project.

This project required approvals by NYSDOT, Livingston County DOH, NYSDEC, Army Corp of Engineers, SHPO, and other agencies and municipalities.
