
(Rochester, New York) February 2, 2009 — MRB Group is pleased to announce that our firm won the prestigious American Public Works Project of the Year from the Monroe County /Genesee Valley Branch of the American Public Works Association (APWA) for the Farmington Wastewater Treatment Facility. This award is awarded to a local firm that displays excellence in administration and management of public works projects.
The Farmington Wastewater Treatment Facility is located in the Town of Victor and serves the Towns of Victor and Farmington and the northern portion of the Town of Canandaigua. The improvements made to the wastewater treatment facility were necessary to meet residential, commercial and industrial growth in the area. As an end result, water quality, air quality, energy resources, and the economic health of the region have all been significantly improved.
MRB's President, James R. Gresens, P.E., recently accepted this award during an awards ceremony at The Double Tree Hotel in Henrietta.
