MRB Group wins Statewide Award

(Rochester, New York) May 12, 2009 —MRB Group is pleased to announce that the firm has received the prestigious 2009 Engineering Excellence Gold Award for its Farmington Wastewater Treatment Facility Improvement Project. The award was made by the American Council of Engineering Companies of New York (ACEC NY) following a judging of projects submitted for consideration in the Water and Wastewater Category.

The Farmington Wastewater Treatment Facility is located in the Town of Victor and serves the Towns of Victor and Farmington and the northern portion of the Town of Canandaigua. The improvements made to the wastewater treatment facility were necessary to meet residential, commercial and industrial growth in the area. As an end result, water quality, air quality, and the economic health of the region have all been significantly improved. Additionally, energy demands for the facility’s operations have been markedly reduced.
